Strawberry Shortcake Party

One of C's dear friends turned 3 recently and we got to celebrate with her.  C won the pin the stem on the strawberry! That a girl!!!

Childrens Aquarium

We recently ventured over to the childrens museum at Fair Park and it was actually pretty neat.

Talk about some bad teeth. 

Hand feeding the sting rays.  This was scary.  You basically stick your fist in the water with a raw shrimp and they grab it from the top of your fist.  They are actually pretty gentle.  But to have 20 swarm around your hand is a tad terrifying.

With the Aggies losing, who wouldn't want to drown their sorrows in a bag of oreos!!!

We were in another room and we heard a loud bang, scream and then a cry.  We ran into the ktichen and noticed her in the pantry.  She proceeded to tell us she had smashed her finger with some big ol' crocodile tears pouring down her face.  They quickly cleared up and  daddy asked her what happened. She began to explain in pretty good detail how the broom fell when she was reaching for the snack.  She even showed us how to use the broom to get what she wants.  Pretty creative! We just wonder how often she has done this little maneuver and we never noticed.  I could not stop laughing hence the bouncy video.  She even calls me on it.

It's the most wonderful time of the year

That's right...college football time.  Can't wait to see those Aggies tear apart the SEC!!!  ;)

First Day of Preschool

Little one started preschool today and I am not sure who it was harder on...her or mom and dad. Well, mom more so.  We figured it was better daddy didn't go as she would have had a total melt down if daddy had left her.  She was so excited to go and talked about it a lot the last few days.  Once we got there she was still excited but you could see her start to question the whole setup. We put her stuff in her cubby, went potty and checked out the room.  Once she was settled, mom made her move and left.  Yep, 30 seconds later, all I could hear was, " MAMA...MAMA." Totally heart wrenching.  I am sure she is doing better by now.  Me on the other hand, it is totally weird not having a little one circle around me and it is AMAZING what I can get done in 5 hours.  I miss her terribly though and can not wait to see that sweet and happy little face.

Great Wolf Lodge

The cousins are in town and little one is loving it.  Wish they were closer!  Sweet cheeks is quite the thrill seeker and loved the "big blue slide." We had a blast!
