It has been busy around here lately! Little one has enjoyed all the holiday festivities this year that is for sure. She is going as Doc McStuffins; her choice. She is a doctor to all her toys and stuffed animals.  Needless to say we play doctor many times a day.

Fun times

Miss animal lover made some friends at Petsmart ( we frequent any Petsmart or petsore, quite often) The lizard and the tortoise took a huge liking to her. The lizard kept jumping up and down and putting his little claws up against the glass. And ol' tortoise would rest his head against the glass and just stare at her. I swear he was smiling at her. Needless to say we almost walked out of there with two new pets.

We had our first ant bite this week.  Normally I would not think twice about an ant bite, but sure enough she had and allergic reaction.  This involved 2 powerful and painful antibiotic shots, fever and some meds for 10 days.  She is on the mend now though.  Thank goodness.  I thought she deserved a doughnut post shots and prodding.  The guy even throw in some free munchkins.

Pumpkin Fun

Gigi came to visit and help me out with little one; it was much needed.  My stitches are out and I am happy to report that everything looks good but I just have to keep an eagle out for anything mole or freckle that looks odd.  Going to the dermatologist every 3 months for 2 years and a photo session of every inch of your body to fully map the moles and an anti-inflammatory diet will hopefully put me at ease.

On another note we did manage to squeeze in some fun time at two pumpkin patches.  As you can tell it involved a lot of chasing with the wide open fields, some crying and a lot of laughing.

Picture Day

Little one had her first set of class pictures today and she smiled for the photographer! Woohoo.  I guess she is just annoyed with mommy taking pics, so she just calls it quits with me for picture taking.  Here are a few out takes.  Gosh we love this little cutie pie!

 

Random Wednesday

Just a bunch of cute little videos from ballet class this past week. She is pretty darn cute!

I was not able to dance with miss priss this week so I was able to get some cute snip its. As most of you know I had gone in for a mole check with the dermatologist a couple of weeks ago and she removed an odd mole. Nothing big or gross about it. It just happened to have a pimple near it so it was a little red. Gross I know! Anyways, she did a punch biopsy and it came back as melanoma in situ, stage 0. I freaked. I mean melanoma is some serious stuff. She assured me this is BEST case of melanoma possible so did my surgeon. The cure rate is pretty much 100%. But of course they let you know nothing is 100% obviously. But even 99% sounds great to me! Melanoma in situ basically means that the cancer had only stayed on the epidermis and had not traveled in the dermis or fatty tissue. Once it gets to that point it can affect your lymph nodes. So after a lovely wide excision to make sure the margins were clear of any cancer I have a lovely 2.5 inch long frankenstein set of stitches on my back. Right under the shoulder blade.  Pretty uncomfortable especially chasing a 2 year old around. Stitches come out soon so we will find out more then too.  Just check ups with the dermatologist every 3 months for the next 2 years.  Not so much for the cancer that was just removed but for any other that could appear.  Then in December I go get pictures of every inch of my body so they can measure my freckles and moles.  That should be interesting...

   So yes, everything was crazy around here and super scary but I totally believe it was God's divine work at hand.  I had initially gone into the doctor for some eczema and she chided me that I had not been in since 2007 for a mole check.  So listen to your doctor or get a good one because mine saved my life!
